Seymour Police Department Captain Troy Munson has been named interim police chief.
Mayor Matt Nicholson made the announcement during Thursday morning’s Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety meeting.
Munson will fill in until a new permanent police chief is hired. Applications may be submitted at Seymour City Hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut St. The deadline is June 3.
Current Chief Bryant Lucas is leaving to take a position with Indiana University Health. His last day will be June 4.
